Leading up to this semester's Master Thesis Defense (2018.12.14), the Structural design laboratory and the TUHH (Hamburg University of Technology) held a joint workshop a day prior (2018.12.13) on the topics of research of the exchange students Vanessa Romero, Saskia Meyer, and co-advising Professor Starossek (TUHH), who also presented on each topic. The respective topics were on the Progressive Collapse of Multispan bridges and the fatigue limit of the eccentric Wing flutter stabilizer. Invited and present were experts on said topics as well as students of the SNU.
The thesis defense was held the next day (2018.12.14). From our laboratory Vanessa Romero and Saskia Meyer participated to present their results up to this point and will have their final presentation back at their home university. The titles of the theses are as follows.
Saskia Meyer, "Evaluation of buffeting-induced fatigue stresses of a flutter-stabilizing device for cable-stayed bridges"
