Richard Terrill, a research assistant at Hamburg University of Technology gave a presentation on "Active Vibration Control of Structures Using the Twin Rotor Damper." It was a good opportunity to learn about the twin rotor damper (TRD) , an active mass damper that uses the resulting centrifugal forces for vibration control.
