Research Interests

• Large scale fatigue testing on various types of steel structures simulating truck or wind induced loading

• Analytical fatigue performance evaluation on welded connections using conventional and local stress approaches

• Advanced linear and nonlinear numerical structural analysis using finite element method

• Analytical and experimental fracture performance assessment for various structural members, connections and materials

• Nonlinear structural analysis for cable supported structures

• Field testing and evaluation for existing steel bridges and related structures
